I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (licensed in California, U.S.A., #96703), AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, and Registered Drama Therapist with over 14 years of clinical experience.  I offer individual, couple, and group therapy for adults. 

Common issues that I work with include: depression; anxiety; low self-esteem; life transitions; loss and grief; PTSD and complex trauma; survivors of sexual abuse and assault; and unresolved conflict and relationship problems.  I also specialize in the treatment of sexual health issues and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. 

I work with English-speaking people from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ and straight people, and adults of various ages and life stages.  I have a relational, humanistic, and eclectic approach.  I utilize different models of therapy—depending on the personal needs and therapeutic goals of the clients that I’m working with.  I’m fully trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.  

In addition to private practice, I have past experience working as a therapist at the Living Arts Counseling Center (Emeryville, CA), Longfellow Middle School (Berkeley, CA), and Henry Ohlhoff Intensive Outpatient Programs for Chemical Dependency and Eating Disorders (San Francisco, CA).

I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (December 2004), and I have I have a certificate in sex therapy from the University of Michigan (July 2014).  I am a member of the International Counseling Service (ICS), EFT France, ICEEFT, AASECT, EMDRIA, and the NADTA.
